The mission of the California Reading & Literature Project is to provide high-quality, standards-based teacher professional development in reading and academic language instruction. Through collaborative partnerships with schools and districts, CRLP supports and sustains continuous academic growth for all students, Pre-K through 12th grade.
The goal of these programs is to enhance teacher knowledge through intensive reading and literature institutes.
This ongoing monthly teacher leadership event (fall 2021-spring 2022) will explore culturally and community responsive texts and discuss themes of social justice and antiracism.
What our participants had to say
"Kris is an amazing facilitator! I always look forward to our discussions and I always gain insight to adapt to my own instructional approach. The topics and engagement with my colleagues is inspiring! Thank you."
It has been refreshing to come together with a group of professionals who are working toward culturally responsive and antiracist teaching and learning. It has made me feel less isolated in this professional and personal pursuit.
“I wanted to share that, for this session and the previous one, I started the meeting feeling very low and exhausted and ended it feeling energized. I really appreciate all of your efforts on our behalf.”
